The Messenger. 01.22.09 Completed arrangements are being announced for Marjorie C. Wicker, 79, of South Fulton, who died Jan. 19, 2009, at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with Bishop Kent Page officiating and burial following in Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home 5-7:30 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until the hour of services Saturday. She was born April 26, 1929, in Obion County, daughter of the late Herbert F. and Mazie (Fulcher) Slaughter. She was the widow of Buford T. Wicker, who died March 30, 1997. She had lived in this area most of her life and had been a machine operator for the former Henry I. Siegel Clothing Co. in South Fulton. She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Hall of Brigham City, Utah; two sons, Willis McCree of New York City and Herbert McCree of Brighton; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Marine Watts, Luvern Akers and June Alexander, all of Fulton, and Janice McIntyre of Leesburg, Va. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bruce Slaughter, Herbert Slaughter and Pete Worley. Online tributes may be left at www.hornbeakfuneralchapel.com.
